Loading... Please wait...I have been meaning to this for a while now and will add links as I have a chance. As all of our regular cutomers know, we consistently look for ways we can help others and I have personally had so many great experiences with small businesses in the past year that I want to help them in any way I can. The list below does not include all the businesses we work with, it only includes one's that have gone above and beyond, typically more than once, and they are small businesses, some family owned. I feel comfortable referring friends and family to any business listed below. I am not involved in any type of affiliate program for any of the companies below.
CML Supply is a "mom-and-pop business dedicated to providing quality hand tools, power tools, electronic assembly tools, and goodies and gadgets to DIY-ers, hobbyists and enthustiasts around the world."
Tender Grass Farm is a local, family owned farm that sells grass-fed and pasture-fed meat. If you have never tried grass fed beef before, in my opinion, you have never had real beef. There is such a difference between the meat that you buy from this farm and the meat you can buy from a store, even the best butcher you can find. We eat grass-fed beef exclusively and have for the past 5 years or so. In my experience, it does not cost any more than buying your meat at the local grocery store. The only difference is that you might want to buy more at one time.
The Old-Fashioned Kettle Korn Company is another local company that shows up at every event we attend locally. However, since we don't get out as much lately, I still need my kettle korn and they have a great online store for that with low shipping costs.
http://www.digusout.com/ - while not technically a small business (maybe it is???) I wanted to put this site on because I do try to purchase American products when possible and I have found some really cool sites here. They list businesses that sell items that are at least 70% manufactured in the US. It was fun just looking around and I ended up with a couple of companies I will continue to use. Check it out!
